The Base de Dades Coordinadora - Colla Jove (BDCJ) is the result of joint work between the Coordinadora de Colles Castelleres de Catalunya and the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona to provide a single place to consult the results of castell (human tower) performances from 1926 to the present day.
There are no common rules in the casteller world that unambiguously determine when a castell (human tower) is considered loaded (carregat) or unloaded (descarregat). This assessment has historically been based on the tradition, customs and heritage of casteller popular culture. Castells are added to the BDCJ according to the criterion applied by the colla that performed them, so some castells listed as loaded or unloaded might not be considered so under the rules of the Concurs de Castells, the only setting where these criteria are formally established.
You may consult the BDCJ and cite specific data, provided you indicate the source: Base de Dades Coordinadora - Colla Jove (BDCJ). Any other use, such as large-scale or systematic reuse, the creation of derivative products, commercial use or use in artificial intelligence projects, requires prior written authorisation from the Coordinadora.
